I don’t tell people to do this often. Rarely do I find a book that is as impactful as this one has been on my life. It’s the only book I ever recommend, besides the Bible.
I was given my first copy on the day I came out of hiding. George Landolt asked me 3 times if I wanted it and I finally said yes.
I won’t go into all of it. You get the point.

Running
I’m a runner. I have been a runner my whole life. Over the last year I have moved into the ultra running distance. This a usually a trail race, through the woods, longer than a marathon. 50K, 100k, 100 miles… and longer. So, I run a lot! I love it! So, here is some of the gear I use.
Unfortunately, Saucony is discontinuing the Shift 3… So I guess I’ll have to try out the Speed next.
A lady at Fleet Feet in Brentwood recommended this shoe and I LOVE IT. Super grippy. Super cushy. With plenty of support.
This watch is the gold standard (although Fenix users will contest that). It does waaaay more than anyone really needs, but that’s why I like it. If you want to buy one watch and never need to buy another one, this is the watch for you.
I have 2 headlamps. This is the one I prefer to run with. I also have a biotite headlamp that is brighter, but it’s just so dang heavy. After a few miles it’s just too much. So, I got this little guy. Gets the job done and much lighter. I don’t even know I’m wearing it.

Stillwater 30A
2 years ago, Emily and I took a pretty big risk and bought a 3 bed, 2 bath, condo on 30A. If you aren’t familiar with 30A, it is an 18 mile long 2 lane highway in the panhandle of Florida just west of Panama City that draws hundreds of thousands of people every year to its cute towns and beautiful beaches. We took out a HELOC on our home in Nashville and dove into the world of AirBnb and short-term rentals! It’s been an interesting journey and an act of love.
Midtown Fellowship
The reason Emily and I are still in Nashville is because of our church. I can honestly say that I love my church and it is my community. I would not be who I am today if not for the love and care I have experienced here.
